Description This is some fanart of the game "Splatterhouse" by Namco.

Basically it's a game about a guy who puts on a demon mask and has to use his newfound powers to save his girlfriend from a mad scientist.

Along the way, Rick Taylor must chop, rip, punch, slice and dice his way through the hordes of monsters at the mad scientist's command.

By the way, this game is way gory. Don't believe me? See this. [link]

Now I wish I had a working X-Box. Fucking red ring of Death

Ooooh big bad Ricko, got a body that can smash through steel plate.... but what's the one thing he's really scared of? Freakin clowns! I can't believe I am riding shotgun, with some wiener who's afraid of clowns!

I love this game. I just wish this franchise wasn't dying. BTW if you ever ask Jim Cummings about his stint with splatterhouse he blushes. XD At least he did when I asked him to sign my game.... I was amused

I'm shocked that Jim blushed at this. Whether or not you thought the game was good or bad, Jim's voice acting is some of the best and most thrilling that I've heard in a long time.

As for the clowns, nothing better than beating them to death with their own arms

Something so satisfying about beating the crap out of monsters with a chunk of wood with nails in it. if only all of life's problems could be solved so easily

Yes. This is even gorier then the new Mortal combat and rivals madworld. Also, it's incredibly manly. Metal soundtrack and punching demons IN THE FACE!

Plus ,it has the great Jim Cummings as the terror Mask. "Let's go kill something! It's been too long, and I'm way outta practice"

For Jim, nothing is impossible. He gave us Pooh, the Mask, Darkwing Duck, Tigger, the list just goes on

I gotta disagree with the reveiws this game had gotten in the past. Just because they want to swing off of Kratos's dick like a third testicle is no reason to try to compare it to God of War (which i have almost all the games) but, I mean come on! That's like trying to comparing O.J. Simpson to Jesus of Nazareth! Just because it's not God of War or something like it is no reason to be so biased on a game which I might add had a hand in kick-starting brutality in video games.
sure I felt they could have polished a bit on the combat a bit more (some more grapple moves would have been nice), but you also have to figure that Rick, even when imbued with powers of the terror mask is still an average joe, he's no pro wrestler or 3rd degree black belt in karate, he simply uses what he's got at hand. I also liked how they introduced his character background a bit more this time around too I thought it gave him a bit more depth as a character. Anyway I'm done ranting now but I'm totally going to fave this.

Hey buddy Thanks for the favourite

As for the game, I've never played it, only seen walkthroughs online. But to say the least it looked fun. I would hardly compare it to God of War. God of War and Splatterhouse are like Silence of the Lambs and Ernest goes to camp.

Though your analogy was good too.

Good point about Rick being a regular joe with a billion year old terror mask on his face.

Feel free to rant any time THis is the place for it.

trust me the game is fuckin' balls to the wall at it's core ,though it does take a tad getting used to master the healing technique like on the ps3 you have to hold down the R2 button and start mashing on the circle button repeatedly, but other than that I just like it when you start bashing down on zombies you really hear that knuckle crunch which I think really helps add to the games appeal. But yeah you can pick up the game for less than 30 bucks these days seeing as it's been out for a while and in my honest opinion it's worth every penny, but then again I've always been fond of the splatterhouse series.

Then looks like I'll have to rent this game sometimes. The terror mask alone must make it worth it.
