THE FINISHED PRODUCT: [link]This is more or less what my cubone skull is going to look like before painting it. I think I'm going to fix the nose a bit since cubone pictures have it a little more pointy towards the bottom.
YES THAT IS ME.
It actually ONLY fits my head because of the way I completely built it around my head. Kinda funny, but I didn't intend that.

Actually, just like I did all of it. I shaped it with paper and duct tape, and then I duct taped that onto the head, finally hiding all that with paper mache. You could also hot glue them in place.

It's just newspaper and painter's tape. I sort of built a helmet out of paper first, and taped it in place. Then I added onto it with more paper and tape. Then held it all finally together with paper mache.

I could actually see out of it pretty darn well, there was just a blind spot right in the middle, at my nose. The eyeholes were big enough for me. I couldn't really wear it like that all day though, so I pulled it up a bit and it made a perfect hat.

Do you have any tips on making it? Like for a lay out, where to start, and so on...

Oh hmm. If I had my resources I would try making a step by step layout, but I'm in college right now which makes things difficult.
But it is 100% paper and tape. Plus paper mache. I basically packed a bunch of newspaper together shaped around my head, held it together with packing tape, then really constructed it with paper mache 
I'm so sorry I can't be of more help, I'm in a bad position to give you tips atm :/

It is SO big. GAH. But it's not heavy at all. Just freakin massive. It's 100% made out of paper and tape, and there are a lot of air spaces.
