What if Vitani reunites with Kopa at the Tree of Life
(Sometime before “The Lion Guard: The Tree of Life”)
(Vitani has a serious conversation with Kopa about his absence while making up for lost time)

A few days later, Kopa and Vitani are back at the lake nearest to the Tree of Life itself (the same lake shown in “The Lion Guard: Journey to the Pride Lands”).

KOPA: Isn’t this a great place?

VITANI: It is beautiful. (Turning to Kopa with a serious but gentle and caring look) But, Kopa, there’s something I don’t understand. You’ve been alive all this time. Why didn’t you come back to Pride Rock when we needed you? I needed you.

KOPA (knowing he cannot hide the truth from Vitani): I wanted to be as far away from Zira as possible after when she attacked me in cold blood and gave me up for dead. And then I ended up accepting life with the Night Pride to the point where I was not able to find the right opportunity to come home.

Vitani is very shocked 😳😮😯 at what Kopa just revealed.

VITANI (furious at the way she had been tricked by Zira as her suspicions were confirmed): I knew it. I knew it!! I knew that the minute Zira came back and talked behind my back about your fate that I had been tricked!

Kopa does not say anything for a moment so Vitani can have a moment to cool down.

KOPA: What about you, Vitani? Why did you leave the Outlands? And how did you know that I was here?

VITANI: I knew in my heart that you were still alive. I got a lead from your old friend Azaad about you being here. And so, I came here looking for you.

KOPA: Well, I just wanted to say I’m sorry for not coming back when you and the rest of my family needed me.

VITANI: It’s okay, Kopa. It’s not you I blame. I blame Zira. I mean, you’re the best friend I’ve ever had, Kopa. And Zira tried to take you away from me. I’m not sure I will ever be able to forgive her for that.

KOPA (curious): So, what do you want to do now?

VITANI: The way I see it, I’m staying with you. I’d rather spend the rest of my life with you than put up with Zira any longer.

Kopa and Vitani hug each other for a few minutes.

KOPA (after a moment): Have you ever considered joining me on the Night Pride? You’d make a very great member of the Night Pride. And I would love to have you by my side on the Night Pride. I love you very much and I care for you. We also make a very great team.

VITANI (with a smile as she wraps one of her forelegs around Kopa’s back): We already do make a very great team. And I happily accept your invitation to join you on the Night Pride.

And so begins Kopa and Vitani’s adventures together on the Night Pride.
