And with that, Peter Quill and Gamora go to Missouri on Earth where Peter Quill reunites with his grandfather Jason Quill who even meets Gamora and they develop a bond of their own. Peter Quill spends the next several months catching up with his grandfather Jason Quill while Gamora gets to know him a lot. Peter Quill takes his old bedroom while Gamora takes one nearest.
Eventually, when he and Gamora are alone together having a walk, Peter Quill proposes to her.

GAMORA: [Taken aback and overcome with overwhelming joy] Yes.

[Peter Quill and Gamora then happily hug each other and share a passionate kiss.]

[It isn’t long before Peter Quill and Gamora are finally married with Jason Quill, Drax, Nebula, and Mantis in attendance. From that moment on, Peter Quill and Gamora are a very happy couple. They continue to do a lot of fun things together. Peter Quill learns to swim like he said he would.]
