It was happening all over the continent, and seemingly the other continents of the world had disappeared. It was a very bizarre and frightening situation. What happened to the rest of the world? Why is the sky that colour, and what is causing the strong smell permeating everything? Nobody had any answers

Meanwhile, a young woman back on Earth was starting her day. She had heard about the sudden disappearance of North America and felt sorry for the poor people there, and hoped they were safe wherever they vanished to. Little did she know the continent was much closer than she could have thought, and whether they were safe or not was up for debate
