I think I've made it clear that my opinion on Shiver has...soured, over the months. It's not Meggy bad yet, but I'm just noticing more and more things I hate about her personality. Her smugness, her callousness to even her teammates, her arrogance, the repeated Splatfest wins due to simps, the entirety of Big Betrayal...the crapiness of her GMOD model-

"But Perry! It's all an act. She's based off of a traditional type of Japanese storyteller! If you don't like it, then you're XYZ-ist, you Brish SCUM"

Yeah, probably...doesn't mean I'm not allowed to hate it, tho. This isn't Twitter. Anyway, I do understand it's an act, and she shows a much sillier side in game...but only in the campaign. Once that's done, all you get is Splatfest banter and the repeated gloating after winning Splatfest after Splatfest is getting just a tiny bit grating by this point. Especially with the bullshit that was the last Splatfest. Won by 3 points thanks to a side mode no-one likes and is basically unplayable if you won halftime. Thanks Nintendo.

Steady, Perry, steady. Going on a tangent. I dunno, the biggest thing I dislike is the whole "Inkopolis Snobs" angle. Sure, Inkopolis is a lot SHINIER than Splatsville, but anyone who was actually AROUND for Splatoon 2's heyday (which...I wasn't but, sshhh) would know that Inko types were NOT soft. I'd like to see Shiver last a match against the X-Rankers from that era. They'd eat her alive. It just comes off as hypocrisy to me, seeing as all three are parts of MASSIVE clans with member numbers in the thousands and an absolute ton of money to go around. You're telling me pet food for a fucking MEGALODON is something you can come by cheap?! And the one guy who doesn't have this angle, Big Man, still spends every morning getting his fins waxed and having lavish breakfasts. He drinks milk from a wine glass. That shouldn't even be POSSIBLE in the world of Splatoon. And of course, when he goes to collab with such Inko Idols (ones which, I'll remind you, are their bosses), they rake him over the coals for it.

"How DARE you not pay attention to us at all times!"

"Maybe you should stay with THEM if they're more important! GIMME MUNE PLZ. HUEHUEHUE"

I'd take Pearl's Gremlinness any day of the week. So, to FINALLY circle around to the image, I could imagine that Deep Cut and Off the Hook...don't get along. We'll see if that changes on the slight chance they cameo in Side Order, but we'll just have to see about that one. I imagine Pearl would take the trio as a challenge, ESPECIALLY Frye. And thus, here we are. Who wins? Well, re-read the dialogue and...guess.

And if you're wondering, yes this DOES have some significance to how the War Splats and Deep Gash may interact one day...aaaaaany day now. Once we get those casual models. Well, IF we do.

Sorry for the rant. It's actually been a while since I've last done so. I feel I've been better at keeping a lid on my gripes with stuff nowadays, especially with SMG4. Who knows? Maybe Wellersquid won't be cancelled after all. But the proceeding storyline is certainly going to be...different. I'll get back to you on that one.
