So that Splatfest, huh?

Good lord what an absolute mess. I think I have to rescind my statement from last time; this was THE worst Splatfest so far, honestly, as predicted. I don't even want to talk about how people have just been at each other's throats on Tumblr alone, I DREAD to think how Twitter reacted to it. But...yeah, this one just broke me, honestly. Think I'll just vote for Shiver from now on. I don't think I even have a choice any more. But even then, everyone acts like right tits now; spawncamping, overuse of Sploosh or Aero, trash-talking, even rumours of racism and DOXING people. Why? This is all supposed to be a silly little thing every few months. The fuck happened to it all?

I'll say this, tho. The region-free Splatfests thing, hell the whole Tricolour thing was a fucking mistake. Splatoon 3 was one of the biggest selling Switch games in Japan, of course they have a MAJOR say in what gets the most votes. But, that just means what the REST of us have to say is frankly pointless. We simply do not get a say in which team is most popular. That's just where we are now.

Fuck me. I still love this game...but it's one built on a foundation of sand. And that sand is slipping...fast.
