...Nah, I don't have much to say here, no long winding, self-preening rant. I just have an interesting question to show you. Cookie for the first right answer.
In all honesty, I don't really GET the Lilade ship. It's a bit like SonAmy, really. It's logical in SOME fashion, but the characters don't share chemistry; I mean, Lilac HATES Spade, doesn't she?
Lilac and Spade belong to GalaxyTrail
And Katherine belongs to me

it's fine, but i mean their current situation would make a bad couple, i think most people who do (like me) do at the point where they have gotten past, their past and made a mends.... maybe this is why you never see Carol X spade since carol is very open about how she hates him.

Carol and Zao have character, Gong kind of does and Brevon almost made it but fell flat on his face. Everybody else is pretty flat. Completely flat in Milla and Spade's cases.

The only real similarities between the two characters is that both of their VA's actually know how to act, which is more than what I can say for everyone else in Freedom Planet... Except for when it comes to screaming.

I don't get Lilade either. In what way are Lilac and Spade even remotely interested in each other? Lilac and Carol ditched the Red Scarves because Spade murdered somebody and Lilac expresses nothing but hatred for the guy! Why do people think this equals "romance"?

Well that's what we thought they broke up for. But FP2, of course, has retconned that. Lilac didn't leave because Spade killed someone, no! She left to..."find her place in life".
...Yeah. Not even one game in and it's all been retconned to be more happy smiley bullshit. They're probably going to retcon the torture scene too.

I think it's because of the expectation that they used to be friends and there's hope that they can fix that. I disagree that they have "zero personality" but the chemistry part is dead-on because of how little they do together. If anything, I think Spade hates Lilac more.

Judging by a few things Carol said it looks like Spade drove Lilac away, but considering how Spade actually cares about this conflict while Lilac only pays attention when they meet, I'm more inclined to believe Spade in this. It's a shame they didn't release his DLC story, though.

Same old problem, really. What they say in the marketing never comes into play in the game itself. In fact a lot of stuff in the game contradicts what was hyped up - and the sequel outright rectons it.

That sort of thing confirms my suspicion that Freedom Planet is a product first and a game second. GalaxyTrail has the aggressive attitude for marketing, but since they refuse to allow the game to stand on its own merits they probably need to. It's one way to polish a turd, so to speak.
