Meggy: Because unlike you, I understand what a second chance is. Sure anime is still taboo...though really, that's got more to do with Boopkins than the medium itself. But I wanna speak with more people, you know? Have some ambition?

War Meggy: We Meggies don't HAVE ambition! We threw it all away when we became that meme man's favourite torture toy! What about that obese version of us, does SHE have ambition?!

Chonk Meggy: You called?

Meggy: Hey other...other me. We're just discussing languages.

War Meggy: Yeah, like none of us can speak a crap language like Japanese. What about you, you fat failure? What can you speak?

Chonk Meggy: ...Uwa ̄ , anata wa jissai ni kore o hon'yaku suru no ni jikan o kakemashita. Watashi, anatagasuki.

War Meggy: ...Fuck you.

...Okay one more. You get ONE MORE GMOD comic before the big 'un. I got inspired.

So out of absolutely nowhere, SMG4 decided to grace us with an SMG4 Short. A bite-sized episode, three days early and only five minutes long; Meggy Learns Japanese. The second Meggy-centric episode this month, that's going to rile some feathers. But to be fair, I found this one funnier than the last Meggy-centric episode. Jokes landed better, and the writing felt less cynical. It's a pretty good time...as long as you ignore the plot hole that Meggy can't speak Japanese but is able to converse with Saiko (who speaks nothing but it) just fine. Also the whole "Meggy hates anime and Boopkins makes it worse" is starting to get run into the ground. Also the "over-the-top stupid anime" stuff is also getting old. Have SOME respect for the thing you're mocking. Mindless mockery isn't as funny as parody that understands the medium.

Anyway, I had to make a quick comic of Human!WarMeg being jealous. I wanted to keep this a secret until the textures were out in the wild, but I had to delete them anyway. I couldn't get them working and everyone who downloaded them just saw checkerbox textures. So I'll have to get someone else to do it for me. Maybe Huntrex if he isn't too busy. At least I took the time to make a new texture for her. And unlike the black and red one, this one is A: closer to my original design for Human War Meggy (bar the spiked choker and bracelets, might be able to weld some on) and B: something I'm proud of. Too much black in the last design, I wanted something more...emo teen-ish. I have no plans to get this on the Workshop due to aforementioned reasons, unless someone who better understands the outdated and shitty upload process offers to do it. I can give the texture and files over right away. Maybe some points for payment.

Also yes this does mean that both Chonk Meggy and War Meggy still speak Inkling. Both their timelines deviate way before the events of WOTFI 2020 so they never got changed. They'll probably get there in time, Chonk through manual learning and I DID suggest in Splatoon Crimson Gaze that Warmongers who don't speak Human English gain an understanding of it through Karsum's influence, so it's a matter of real world time.
