Description
Here's the color version of Dressing Room, from my geisha series. From drawing to painting, etc, it was all done in photoshop. Pretty happy with the results.Related content

aww thankyou ^_^ I have a lot of fun with perspective. Advanced perspective classes do that. I had an awesome teacher who kinda was of the 'sink or swim' teaching style. but I think it helped a lot.

Do or do not, there is no try
I learn best that way too ^_^ An honest appraisal gets betters results with me than gentle coaching I'm also the type of person who will succeed out of spite in that situation

oh yeah, definitely am like that too. though I find with any teacher who is like that too much, instead of spiting them you stop caring. its kinda tough like that.

Your welcome, it really is great though, I also like that you didn't show their whole face, made it seem some what mysterious. And thanks for taking the time to reply ;D.

Thankyou. I actually did that on purpose because I wanted the real focal point to be the red the Meiko wear in their hair, and the design on the back of the neck. I loved that design and composed the piece completely around trying to show that. And no problem, I like replying to people, and from experience its nice to know from the artist that your feedback is appreciated

The neck and the red in the apprentices hair reminds me of when they are mentioned in Memoirs of a Geisha, the way you had the neck seemed like the fence design mentioned in the book. And your right, it feels good that you appreciate peoples appreciation of your work. And do not feel obligated to reply to this...reply .

Wow I like everything about that piece. The colors are excellent. That's great how the geisha is framed by the other figure and the furniture - it lets the color of her skin speak with that of the floor while still remaining distinct.

thankyou very much ^_^ I had a lot of fun with this color scheme. The colors are actually based off of those I found on a lovely Japanese obi sash. I thought it was suiting.

thankyou so much ^_^ I love watercolors and enjoy making digital painting look traditional. Adds a bit of flavor, in my opinion.
