Ohhhh! I'm sure it'll turn out great! Your attention to detail on clothing/costumes is fabulous! I think back to the adventure/elf armor outfit you drew for Hiccup.

The story behind it is that I thought I had finished the picture, but then thought, 'something needs to go on the surcoat, some kind of shield pattern or insignia.'

And then I thought back to my childhood when I had a lego castle. The little lego knights had griffons on their shields, so I instantly went to work on it!

Oh, I'm sure it's too heavy for real me to carry, by my Quest character has that epic warrior thing going on, so it's a breeze for him.

'little lego knights' wow... that's all we grew up doing. All of us=legos, me=drawing Narnia, LotR, and my own world thigns, Josh, Caleb and me= exploring the wilds of Kansas and playing Narnia/lotr games

Is it any wonder both of us are so into HtTYD?

Your quest self is really epic thing! and *strong*. I can't even carry 5 gallons of water without dumping it on myself-- that brings back funny memories

Yes, I do find it interesting that the people that are attracted to HTTYD do share a lot of similarities. It's quite fascinating actually.

Nice job, Master Rohan. I was wondering when you would post that self picture. Can you give me an idea how heavy that armor is? From the drawing it looks quite heavy. The surcoat and cloak are well drawn with what I think is a griffon.

Yes, I noticed the smile, too. I never got the impression you or he were all that serious with the comments. It seems to be in character.

Oh, I'm sure his armor would be crushingly heavy for me to wear, but for him, at its breeze! All that training and exercise you know!

Yes, it is a griffon. I've liked their shape on shields and such all the way back to childhood when I had a lego castle, and the little lego knights had griffons on their shields.

MOST of the time, I'm not. But MOST of the time he is, what with being in charge of leading the quest team with Hiccup recovering. Ironically, he seems to get rather light-hearted when he's very tired or an impossible battle looms!
