HI Peter, overall an interesting quality image, exactly what im used to from you; but this is not a favourite, event though many elements are wonderful.
The used of two sets of female hands with ink, is always pleasing. it would have been interesting with male inked hands also.
The lighting is a little flat, so even an uniform, giving it a clinical sterile feel. Yes there is lots of detail, but i find im more drawn to reading the ink, than letting the image wash over me. So technique is good, but left me a little less than wowed.
Im confused (easy i know) by the owl-on-a-chain, its dosnt support or add to the impact, the ink has no mythology or reference that i see. And as a distraction or device to draw the eye, its not needed or misused.
The model is also a little flat, the colour, her expression, all re-enforcing the sterile feel. It looks very airbushed or PS'd, again missing the naturalness.
When i got to the legs, i kept wondering what the ink was going down her leg.
For me, when i looked at it croped tighter, from finger tips of hands on breasts to finger tips covering groinal socket, it had more impact.

Good composition, i like the empty space in the center as her arm leads the eye there. Good contrast between the busyness of the tattoos and the remaining empty canvas of the body. The neckless with the owl also draws your eye the center of the work. I don't know if this was conscience or intuition regardless ... Good job.

eveything is totally awesome. my one critique might be that the silhouette of the foreground model would (maybe?) be stronger if you could see negative space btwn the models arms, whereas as it stands now we see the other model's shoulder and it distracts a bit from the effect i feel you might have been aiming for, but i could be wrong, its open to interpretation of course. it distracted me a bit because it breaks up the classic female form as well as suggesting a male presence/muscle structure which changes the meaning a bit for me. maybe try just deleting the rest of the arm from the elbow up and you might have a stronger composition?

As long as you don't make the exception the rule, it can be very effective in a composition, like you did here. I like how the tattoos add art within the art, and seem to frame the owl pendant.

See, this is artwork! A lot of people post slutty pictures of themselves saying they want to 'show their tattoos' but this is actually artistic and beautiful! Wonderful work.
