My wife loves Haida Style First Nations art, and has a fist full of jewelry in that style. On our last trip to the west coast of Canada I got to look at some real works of art, and picking up a book of designs I've tried my own hand at it.This peice is entirely digital, Vector art usuing PSP. Theres' still some things I should tweak, when i do that I'll update the image, but its going on 5 hours straight sooo...

I love Haida, but I have so much trouble capturing the spirit when I try to work in it. Celtic/Haida makes such a beautiful combination, too....this is very well done.

Thats my next personal challenge, to combine these two very different, but complimentry style.. of course it'll have to wait until my current project is done...

Well, I'll be posting a bit of glass soon where I tried to do that with a Celtic myth...it turned out to be predominately Celtic in style, so the next project is going to be a Haida myth, to see if I can fuse the two better.
