This is quite impressive. I agree with you that it could almost stand alone as a finished work. Pardon my comparison, but this strikes me as a work that would make an epic vinyl album cover for a 70's space rock/psych band. It has that legendary, outland feel. Are you working on adding new layers now?

I wait for the painting seminar in Italy with prof, Rubinov, we meet at the 9th of august and then I will apply the next layer...
and this rather modern but also ancient looking work is perfect for the theaterplay Iam working on (will be the flyer and poster), a psychedelic surreal version of oskar kokoschkas expressionistic "orpheus and eurydike"

Where in Italy? That sounds great...quite fun to be gaining more painting knowledge in such a setting. I love the idea that this painting will also be published as a poster and flyer, truly getting it out to the masses. And the play you speak of sounds quite interesting, wish I lived in the same town as you...

thank you, but it is a wound (and a symbol for the single eye of the mind...pointing upwards, as the play of orpheus is and was a gateway to the gods)

Yes... Orpheus.
A few years ago I had worked on a major extensive project centered on the myth, called OrphiCity.

and what happened to the city?
I also write a theaterplay about orpheus and eurydike, based on the text of kokoschka, what was expressiv will be fantastic and surreal, what is psychological will become psychedelic...the concept is ready I will write about what kokoschka left open about the myth...it will be play about the heavy shifts of the visionary artist from extreme darkness to extrem light...
Oprheus is a major archetype for artists, I think it is really important for younger artists, to get in touch with his energy...
cocteau wrote 3 plays(films) about this energy
kokoschka wrote a play about it, Rilke wrote poems to evoke orpheus etc...orphism he is still a very active force I think
