i'm always happy to see your gimp work .. de 1 because i'm a big gimp fan (but i used to do more inkscape work )

de 2 .. everytime i see your tuto i wonder how well some of it would translate to traditional ..

i expect better for an oil artist than an aquarellist though

Thanks! (again!)
About using those "tricks" for traditional painting, I've never really thought about it... That's an interesting question! But it's been a long time since I didn't do traditional painting

It's always good to see the steps and the thought process that went into creating an artwork. Especially when they show how much certain elements have changed.

I'm glad this making-of is helpful Canceling a big part of a painting is always a difficult choice... It's hard to say to myself "this part is crap. Do it again", specially if I already worked a lot on it...

Haha. Yeah, that's usually the part where a lot of my paintings get abandoned

Don't abandon! Be patient and you'll nail it

whoa, this is amazing - I like seeing the "making of"s!
because (and no offense) in the first panel it is just so incomplete and then the last panel it's looks amazing - it serves as a reminder that when making your own work that there'll be a moment where it doesn't look like it's going anywhere and you just need to stick it through
bravo! I give this a ten of ten!

Thanks for your feedback And you're so right! In the first steps, I have absolutely no idea of where I'm going! At some point, I even thought about abandonning this painting. But as you say, we have to pass some "point" beyond which the painting starts to take form... Not always easy...

You're welcome~
I know what you mean, I currently have an unfinished marker project because I just don't see it going anywhere - should probably finish it for the sake of finishing it xD It isn't easy, in fact it's quite discouraging

Don't be too harsh on yourself. Sometimes you have to let it go, and sometimes you can stick to it
