Description Two maps are shown in this deviation. Current countries above and a map about an alternative version of Austria, being composed of only Vienna, Lower Austria and Upper Austria (similar to original Duchy of Austria) at bottom. Salzburg would be part of Germany, Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein would be part of Switzerland and whole Tyrol would be part of Italy. Isprucco would be the new Italian name for Innsbruck. Slovenia would not exist, so Burgenland (part of current Austria) and Prekmurje (part of current Slovenia) would be part of Hungary. Finally, there would be two new countries: Styria and Carinthia (Steiermark und Kärntern in German, Štajerska in Koroška in Slovene) and Carniola and Gorizia (Kranjska in Goriška in Slovene). Territories of Styria and Carinthia would be those of old Duchy of Styria and old Duchy of Carinthia that were part of Austro-Hungarian Empire. Capital city of this country would be Graz. Finally, Carniola and Gorizia would be composed of rest of current Slovenia.

Oh, thanks! Well, I tried to find out why there are two states of Austria whose names are Lower Austria and Upper Austria, Austria being composed of more states. I read that is because of, approximately, that territory is Austria proper or original Austria, when it was a simple duchy , in the Middle Ages. So, making the reduction was a easy work. And all changes are motivated historically, except Salzburg in Germany. So, I think it's an interesting alternate map. XD

In addition, Isprucco is not a fantasy name. It was an Italian name that was used in 15th and 16th centuries...

Yes that one but I saw Italians were so radical they even invented names for villages and small mountains or brooks in Südtirol. Shouldnt u hate this injustice as a communist who is against nationalism and Fascism or do u have a double standard?

we let Germans keep the names! And don’t worry now they are slowly reverting everything

If Italy takes care of their identity, it´s even ok they have the region I guess.

And you also said you would never want it to die, so you have my respect.

Yes, Italy must absolutely protect Alto Adige Germans but that doesn't mean that there must be only German names, Alto Adige is a bilingual region so it is fair that there are bilingual names, with total respect for both groups names.

What? LOL This is not radical and is not about nationalism and fascism but it's a natural thing. Do you think Italians would be able to pronounce the German names? They would need some surgical operations in mouth and throat...  So, seriously, I don't see any problem about that. I think that is not unfair, German-speaking people are allowed to use old German names. Do you think there would not be new German names if Germany had recovered some historical territories in, for example, Poland? Obviously, horrific Polish names had been renamed...

I mean that Italy got the territory and how fascism tried to drive out all natives and that Italians still support fascism partly today and have such a monument there. As a real socialist u would stand up for the injustice and be for a Südtirol that returns to Austria..except u have a double standard ofc

Umm unlike some idiotic people that think German is so awful yes I am right now on vacation in Italy and most can speak German and they can also say german city names easily XD ur romanic bias and arrogance makes u often very blind and rude I wonder you wanna be like this Oo.

Even Spanish is easy to pronounce for Germans cause the vowels sound very similar. Only that your language has this lisp thing. But you can learn even that. German only has some ch ts or tsch sounds that might sound foreign the rest is easy.

Yes, unluckily there are Italians who still support fascism today but there are also Nazis in Germany and Francoist people in Spain. Spain is the worst case because of German and Italian regimes were defeated but Franco died in his bed. We are fighting against fascist monuments and honours for decades, so I'm not agree with fascists monuments in Italy, of course.

I'm for union of peoples and countries so Alto Adige's thing is not very important to me. If South Tyroleans were treated unfairly I'd support their requests but I think that does not happen and it's natural that Alto Adige be part of Italy because of physical-geographical reasons. I'm against border changes because of nationalistic reasons.

I don't understand very good your second paragraph but I think you are wrong about the names and it's not an important thing, I don't know why you are worry for that. Germans had done the same thing if they had won any war and had annex some areas in France or Poland. If a name is easy to pronounce, that's not important, the name is changed if it sounds foreign, it is adapted phonologically at least. Do you think there could be places whose names were Chäteauvillain or Sochaczew in Germany? Seriously?

If you want to dissolve Slovenia then do it properly: gib us Venezia Giulia and gib Kranjska to Steiermark
