UGH..THE BACKGROUND SUCKS BUTT.
Anyway..Aside from my lack of practice on backgrounds, I made this for my friends and family that are still back in Ohio. I've been missing them a lot lately, and so I drew this.. I titled it "Back To Me" because I've been listening to AAR too much, but also I thought it fit. I'd really love to see my friends again, but I would not like to be back in Ohio, so I wish so much for them to be here, in Louisiana, with me. x..x
The background is inspired by *Aomori 's picture, Burning Sky. [link]

this is a really nice piece! Since you used the same method for the background and the character, I feel like everything fits well together and it enhances the mood. So what I'm trying to say is I think the background looks great and works well in your picture.
The pose of the character makes for a dramatic scene and the overall composition works really well together - it focuses the attention on what's important in the artwork. The circular focal point also refers directly to your title, which is pretty cool!
I feel you could have added some more detail in the shading and highlights of the character and also vary the colour palette of your grass, just to give it some more pop.
