Occupation: Paper Delivery Pony. Swift hands out newspapers to all of the houses around Neighberry every morning, though most of the time it takes her a good portion of the day to do so.

Personality:
Intimidating and strong-willed, Swift Step is rather more like a typical pegasi than a unicorn. Though she is slightly more withdrawn, she is not afraid to tell you like it is and desires honesty above all else, no matter how harsh it might be. She is a tad bit vain but she knows this and struggles with it, wanting to be more humble and generous. She finds it difficult to make friends at first because of her appearance and first impressions so she tends to stick by herself. However, she's a great friend if you take the time to earn her trust.

Best Quality: Hard working. Although Swift is not doing what she wants to do at the moment, this doesn't stop her from putting all she's got into her job. This also spills over into her everyday life; if she's got a task to do, she won't stop until it's done- and done right!
Worst Quality: Blunt. Swift Step tells it like it is- sometimes without regard for others feelings. This quality often leads to broken friendships and other ponies giving her a wide berth.

Likes: Running, the wind, fall, the smell of roasting marshmallows, the outdoors
Dislikes: Being judged by appearance alone, sitting still for too long

History:
Swift Step was born in the deserts of Saddle Arabia. She had been raised to live off the land, even though it was hard to do because of the climate they lived in. She grew accustomed to it and felt that she would gain a cutie mark in being a gardener. However, during the Equestria Games, which were being held in Saddle Arabia, Swift Step couldn't take her eyes off the racers. All kinds of ponies raced as fast as they could to the finish line. It excited Swift and every day since then she began practicing to be as fast as she could be. Lo and behold, she gained her cutie mark the day she was able to run around her entire town successfully without having to stop for a break! When she was old enough, she entered the Equestria Games herself and although she didn't win every time, she felt exhilarated from just running that it didn't matter what place she got at the end.

One year, during a race, Swift tripped and injured one of her front legs. At the hospital she was given the news that her leg would heal, but she would never be able to run professionally again. Devastated, Swift spent about a year in deep depression. She felt as though her cutie mark was useless and she shouldn't have it at all. She moved away to a small town, Neighberry, and tried her best to settle in to her "new" life. She gained a job as a paper delivery pony and felt the days pass by in a blur. Things didn't change until one morning when she was extremely late and had to be as fast as possible to deliver the papers. Without even thinking, Swift just took off and did her round as fast as she could. It wasn't until after she had finished that she realized that her leg hardly hurt at all. Perhaps with a little more training, she could be as good as she used to be!

She has a bit of an Arab Accent.
Her build is much like Luna's; she is a little bit taller than regular ponies.
