The N2 is one of my favourite locos. Its so quirky yet so elegant.

Interesting locomotive and train! Looks like a mix of thee- and four-axle cars in there. Amazing composition, too, with the curve and the steam cloud and the high vantage point and the no modern stuff... Dang.

Beautiful shot! Wondered when I saw the thumbnail if it was the pic taken when we were all lined up, until I realised it was the Vintage Rake. Very nice capture old chap

Nicely composed, the train and this curve seem very photogenic!

Next time - surely there will be one - you would deserve a better luck with the sunshine.

Whoa! I'm having a difficult time figuring out the driver configuration...certainly a beautiful and unique locomotive design!

Ah, that's what I thought - but the two (well, four) driver wheels clustered there at the front, AND the out-of-view siderod confused me. It almost looks like a 4-2-2, if you look at it, which is one weird configuration!

oh my god........I didnt know there was a SURIVIN N2 CLASS......

thats the most beautiful locomotive I've ever seen, I've always been a sucker for big boxy affairs with odd proportions and drivers-first wheel arrangements

that just about does it for me, she's got everything

I had that type on engine on my model railway (it now lives in a display cabinet in my room).

I even drew a picture of it: [link]

I can't imagine those carriages ride too well.

Actually, they're not that bad. The main problem with them is that they're not heated!

Of course they aren't. They'd burn if they were...
