Back 1995, three metahumans formed the superteam the Terrific Trio. An accident in space granted them all fantastic powers. Four people were on the space craft that was hit by the CosmicStorm, Richard, Hans, Joey and Betsy. Richard was granted super-stretchy powers...from the waist up. Hans was gifted with the ability to convert his epidermal layer into organic rock, which sloffed off after a certain period of time. Joey, while concious, has a blazing head of gelatinous flame and fire proof hands.

Each crew member was effected differently by the cosmic bombardment, Betsy was turned invisible to the naked eye. Therefore when the ship crashlanded in the MajorCityBay, Stretch, Rockface, and MatchHead left her behind unconcious in the sinking spacecraft. Spending months alone in the watery tomb, she slowly went completely insane. It wasn't until she learned to control her other power that has nothing to do with invisibilty (generating orbs of anti-gravity) that she was able to raise her would-be coffin, and now seeks only to destroy her ex-crew members, The Terrific Trio.
