From my first uni assignment, self portrait then coloured to represent the sorta loud flashy colours of techno musicthe first assignment was about self identity, and mine followed the theme of music pretty heavily, cause im almost constantly listening to music xD

Yup used the photograph one I did as a reference, drew it on the pc, coloured it on paint tool sai, then played with it on photoshop
it was a really quick one, only like an hour or so, but I thought it got to the point where if I worked much more on it i'd ruin it xD

I'm so glad I looked through your gallery. This is a very well done piece. AUGH. I can't convey how amazing this is. You've captured not only colors associated with the flashy genre, but you've played with the energy of it too. HNNNNG So much energy. My mind is playing with the idea of a light show erupting from the headphones.

I love techno music so much--WAIT, THAT'S IT (oh geez, just bear with me)--This image reminds me of a bassdrop. Pick any techno song with an excellent drop--and that's what your piece here does for me.

It didnt actually take that long, but I reached the effect I wanted quite quickly and felt if I added any more to it I might ruin it haha

What progamme do you use? I've used a variety of them. The ones I mainly use now are paint tool sai for painting etc, then photoshop for tweaking images such as smudging, blurring etc. It's a learning process, I'm a self learning type personally so I always just play around till I learn, occasionally finding an online guide or asking other people for help, but im always happy to help if I can if people have questions. If you dont have sai I highly recommend it, its really cheap for a painting program and its really lightweight and easy to use

I actually use an animating program. Flash MX 2004. I enjoy the vector quality (and I haven't the money to buy Illustrator). It also makes smoothing the picture out about a 100 times more efficient. I'm the self-learning type as well, but I haven't had the time at all these past two years. College is a time needy thing. -_-;

Sai has a vector layer option, Im not sure how good it is though hahaha, I havnt done much vectoring myself, we played around with the pen tool in my digital workshop at uni, but only the basics, I prefer to just draw xD
I hear that, i've been hopping from university to university the past couple of years trying to find a course that suits me, I think i've finally found one though

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the first one to actually film their cutscenes, and then do a lot of cgi magic and nonsense. haha my hair was really long for the first assignment, my fringe covered my face anyway so it was pretty accurate haha xD
I did the colours and lines in paint tool sai (my paint program of choise) then added the techno-y shapes on photoshop using diff brushed I dlded, plus used the smudge tool on the colours in the background to make them more sorta spikey looking
