[ kithood ] :

> Born in the territory to a chausie and a RiverClan warrior, it wasn't long before the kit was given to RiverClan, deposited to their father in the territory, with simply the words from the mother that she couldn't care for the kit and that he was the sire. Taken back to camp by their father, Swirlcurrent- they were taken in by a kitbearer by the name of Sweetbriar. She became their mama Sweet! Quickly, the young kit grew and became very opinionated, making friends with the other kits in the nursery at the time, most specifically with Wishkit. Wishkit is their best friend! Who they turn to when they need to tell somebody something SECRET! When Rindlekit and Pebblekit were born, they made it a goal to befriend them as well!

However, shortly after that, her uncle Badgerdream, as well as Pebblekit both went away- to StarClan. Marshkit was a bit confused by this, but they... shook it off, taking their Uncy Porcy's explanation as acceptable. It wasn't long after this that they confided in their friends.... that they were a girl! They couldn't be a boy like their daddy, and being called a boy made them feel yucky. It was then that they asked their friends to start calling them Brookkit instead- thinking that the name was prettier than Marshkit. A few days went by before they confessed to their father and Sweetbriar as well- and then to anybody in the clan that would listen to them that they wanted to be called Brookkit instead!

Going entirely by Brookkit now, albeit unofficially, the kit is thriving within RiverClan, though a bit upset over their best friend Wishkit becoming Wishpaw so much earlier than them. On the upside, however, new baby cousins!

[ apprenticeship ] :

> Apprenticed to Paleshine, who also happened to be their father's ex, they officially took the name Brookpaw and begun their life as an apprentice of RiverClan! For the most part, training was smooth sailing- after all, Brookpaw adored Paleshine already and they had their best friend to train with! So, they focused on learning all that they could, taking in the warrior code- trying not to let little things that happen around the clan get under their fur too much. Overall, it was a rather uneventful apprenticeship- until Wishtide got in trouble. But she'd take her best friends' sides, after all- they were important to her.

It wasn't much longer before Brookpaw gained their warrior name.
