[ kithood ] :

Born into RiverClan alongside his brothers, Porcupinekit, Breezekit, and Dock-kit, the boys were the first kits to their parents, Mallowfeather and Mudtail. From an early age, Swirlkit proved to be a rather rowdy young cat, constantly getting under paw of those around him and trying to do things that he perhaps shouldn't of been getting into yet. Even as a kit, he was ambitious, often being more than willing to try out new things or trying to harass the apprentices or warriors to teach him little tricks and moves. A bit of a pest, Swirlkit wasn't afraid to branch away from his siblings. It was a great day when he was finally promoted to an apprentice!

[ apprenticeship ] :

Swirlpaw was ecstatic when he got to become an apprentice. There was so much more that he could do now, and so much more than he could learn! Granted, he didn't really... immediately grasp that it would take time to learn these things. With more confidence than he should have, Swirlpaw was more than willing to try to throw himself into various training scenarios, willingly offering himself whenever assistance with showing something was needed as well. Other than just being a bit of a pest, Swirlpaw's apprenticeship went rather smoothly up until around the middle of it, when Mallowfeather, his mother, became pregnant once more. Due to a complication during kitting, Swirlpaw lost both his mother and two newborn siblings, given the names of Brightkit and Mallowkit, with all three being buried under a tree near the river, not far from the WindClan border. He was rather shaken on the inside by his mother's death, however, he refused to let this show, instead turning to training even harder to account for it.

[ warriorhood ] :

Entering warriorhood, Swirlcurrent received his suffix for his turbulent nature and mostly just watched his siblings' disagreement over Breezefeather requesting their mother's suffix. He personally found it a good tribute, however, he didn't voice his opinion. Never really having grown out of his rowdy personality, Swirlcurrent was certain to keep up on his training on his own after becoming a warrior, volunteering for patrols and offering to stand in as an extra hand in training with other warriors' when they needed somebody else to help displaying certain moves.

Fairing well enough with the rogue attack, getting out of it relatively unscathed, as well as with none of his family or friends injured in it- Swirlcurrent continues his compulsive behaviours of just throwing himself into his tasks, though, he tries his best to keep an eye out for his siblings as well, always curious about how they're doing.

Getting a bit jostled for a moment but coming out unscathed from the fire that crossed all the Clans, Swirlcurrent took part in the battle between RiverClan and WindClan that happened as a part of the two Clans being made to share an area with each other temporarily. Not coming out of the fight purely unscathed, he received a scratch across the chest while leaving his opponent with scratches across the face.

Not long after the following gathering, another warrior in the Clan was announced to be pregnant, and Swirlcurrent received her apprentice, Maplepaw, to finish up the young tom's apprenticeship. Finishing up the last of his apprenticeship- the tom receiving the name Mapleheart, he had a rather uneventful time.

For the most part, he lived a rather uneventful life- doing his duties and receiving yet another apprentice, a boy named Robinpaw this time. He kept up with his training and duties- training the kid until he received his warrior name of Robinchaser. The moons continued to be rather uneventful for him- sure, there were things happening in the Clan around him, but he was disinterested in those things. Eventually, one time while out hunting, the tom came across a kittypet in the territory and... slipped up. She was lovely and he was.. lonely. Thinking there would be nothing to come from it, he had a one-night-stand with her... only to find her a bit over two moons later on their border with ShadowClan, a week old tom-kit dangling from her jaws. It was his- there was no denying it. So, he took the newly dubbed Marshkit home, accompanied on the way back by Floodfall.

The first of his siblings to have a kit... he decided to move to the nursery himself, though still continuing his duties, Sweetbriar taking in his kit. Not long after, he was joined by Floodfall, and then after that, his own brother Porcupinepelt came to stay in the nursery, with a litter of his own.
