Description The Flying Sub from the 1960s Irwin Allen TV Series 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'. The Flying Sub was carried aboard the SSRN Seaview, and launched from its hangar bay beneath the glass observation nose of the giant submarine. Like its mother ship it was deisgned by Admiral Harriman Nelson.
The Flying Sub was capable of high speed travel in tha air and under the sea.
The ship was designed for the show by William Creber and was realised on screen via excellent visual effects supervised by miniatures experts Howard and Theodore Lydecker and L.B.Abbott.

I built a model of it back in the day. The top part came off and it had the full interior.
