The RTL-2 is a military trasnporter aircraft featured in the classic 1960s TV Series 'Thunderbirds'. The aircraft is featured in the episode 'The Cham'Cham' a suprememly imaginative story, blending classic 1960s espionage and mystery with high-flying adventure and excellent characters. A must-see.

I am not sure who designed the RTL-2. It was either series Special Effects Direcotr Derek Meddings or the Asst. VFX Art Director Mike Trim.
The model of this beautiful aircraft was revamped and re-used in episodes of the later Anderson series 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons' and 'Joe 90'.
