Description
This is an original piece of Disney’s Elsa from the upcoming Frozen. I wanted to do a quick sketch of her before the movie release. There are not a whole lot of images of her yet. I really love her look. I tweaked it a tad to make it my own. I added a scroll pattern to her sleeves, added the crown you see very briefly in the first trailer, and (totally my own) I gave her fur trim. I feel like the fur really makes her look like a snow queen. I wanted to put her in a pose that showed her trying to hide her powers, and with a look that confused you to if she’s good or bad. From what I can tell her character reminds me a lot of Elphaba from Wicked (ironically, also Idina Menzel) where she’s not really evil, but people see her that way and she gets falsely labeled.
She’s not perfect, but I wasn’t planning on even getting this detailed and involved with her, but she was too much fun!
