Hey everyone! I've been working on a new 12 page short comic over the past few weeks, and I thought you all would be interested in seeing some work in progress, behind the scenes images for it! This is the digital value study for the first page, which will be traditionally painted in the final version.

The story behind how this comic came about is really cool. One of my patrons over on Patreon is a professional writer and novelist, and he's actually written a handful of short flash fiction pieces set in the world of Vigilant Lioness. This particular one just grabbed me right away, and I knew it would make for a great comic. It introduces a new Lioness named Haley, and she lets her overconfidence get her into a bit of trouble. His original short story, "Efforts and the Lack Thereof," is posted to the Patron-exclusive Discord server if you want to read it!

Also, the Kickstarter campaign for the Vigilant Lioness Enamel Pin Collection is launching at 12 Noon Eastern this Tuesday, September 14th!
