Description
Painted this one as a concept for a friends video game project. Was really fun to do, because the setting he gave me reminded me of monsterhunter in a way and I love that game
Took the color palette of a photo, kind of cheating I know, composition and painting was done by me though. My dragon anatomy is a bit weak, have to work on that

I can appreciate your concern with the details, but how the light hits the wing is looking very good. That's why I picked this one for a closer look. As far as dragon anatomy goes, or any kind of wing for that matter, I usually went with the concept of wings being actually just an arm, in this case spreading skin between the fingers. So, if you know your way around human anatomy, a dragon shouldn't be too complicated.
This dragon looks like a kind of fish or snake, though. And I have to say, I don't mind at all. Maybe I could help, but don't get caught up in THE way to do something.

I used to sketch and draw but my skills were meagre... I have no criticisms to offer to a genius like yourself. But I like the colour pallete and contrast; the way the red just pops and I guess you just need to keep working on your dragon anatomy as you said. Sorry... My critiques suck. But GREAT WORK!

My shortcomings didn't have much to do with inspiration... I just bloody sucked at drawing and I quit like some loser but I have a knack for writing and I don't plan on giving up on that. But thank you; I'll bookmark that page.

[link] the dragon wings (or wing since you can't see the other. lol xD) should have a 'elbow' because when the dragon goes into his cave it would have to be amazingly big because he couldn't fold his wings to get through a smaller gap. and if his wings didn't have a 'elbow' it would be bulky and hard for him to walk in forests, etc.. that's the only thing I think you should change, but that's me. ^^ besides that I think it's really awesome! I wish I could draw like that...

yeah, no prob dude! ^^ I tend to draw a lot of dragons and such. I have the neon dragon book on how to draw and that helped me pinpoint those wings I used to do without elbows. lol xD ^^

Oh and mature content filter is so not needed. Believe me I have seen much bloodier pieces go without the filter.
