I'm pretty sure you can improve your skills. Practice alot everyday! Go for it, I believe in you Β  !!I will start to stream next year for sure. As for the tutorial.. I dont know. I don't feel like I'm ready to teach. I'm struggling alot myself. Maybe in a few years when I'm crazily good... or something.

Changes will come I'm 100 percent sure! Maybe they are not obvious at first, but you will see it over time. You have great understanding of perspective, really like this one renox123.deviantart.com/art/Tr…

I will work hard for any change! And... did you already any job as concept artist or illustrator for someone? This is my last year on high school and this week I'm going at registration on college. But i don't know how to get contacts or something with people that, I can work for. I know just one concept artist from my city but he is not talking to me. I belive that he got a lot of work. ...Check his works. michalivan.deviantart.com/

Awesome!! Thats really everything you need, as cheesy as it sounds: Believe in yourself, work hard post your stuff online and never give up and everything else will happen by time))

Yeah I did a few jobs now and then. I think you can approach it in different ways.Β

You can actively search for the artdirectors of companys and then write a short email to them. Something in the direction like: I would love to work with you, here are some of my portfolio pieces etc.

And if you don't hear back from them, write to them with new portfolio pieces half a year later.

The other way is to just keep constantly adding paintings to your deviantart/cghub etc. and as you get better people will start to recognize you and sooner or later you will get job offers.Β

Because if someone is looking for an artist he will browse galleries and if your work is good and sticks out, he will write you a note. It's really that easy.Β

I would say getting jobs depends on your skill level and your promotion.Β

There is a level with skill that you have to reach, otherwise you won't get any jobs even if you do the best promotion in the world.

So you need a certain amount of time to practice in which you won't make any money. And this time is more or less set. Lets say 3000 hours of practice till you are good enough to get the first jobs.Β

And within that time, I wouldn't do any active promotion, because it would just be a waste of time.

I mean I would upload the practice to websites and talk to people that are in the same boat as you, but I wouldn't actively search for jobs. Β

But if you reached that level, its up to you if you want to promote yourself in the most awesome way or if you want to get incredibly good at painting and let others promote your stuff.Β

The best way ofcourse is, to be very, very good at art and do an awesome promotion.Β

Aw yes Michalivan is awesummm O=O=O= Love his art! I think too he must be very busy, and didn't mean it in a bad way not responding.

You're absolutely right bro! The everything you said is truth. I thought about something like practice. I mean that go in to any company that i like and try to practice here. To get skill, to be in contact with someone that is working for company like Valve or any other game company. I'm willing to do anything, just to be in contact with someone proffesional that is working my dream job and learn everything i can from him.... Or jump from windov becouse my drawing sucks But that's the last way...

MatthiasUtomo In reply to Selenada [2013-12-17 22:44:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Selene! Yes I painted the trees with a hard edge brush and then put the textures on top with a clipping mask. Agh I feel kind of newbish saying that, you're 10 million times better at painting than me:3Β Your portraits are just super super SUPER great Β Β
