Today would have been Mary Blair's 100th birthday, so I thought this would be a nice tribute to her. Her work on Cinderella was beautiful.character (c) Disney

Oh, well this is lovely. It's also nice to see someone portraying Cinderella in her more accurate-to-film colored dress. This is quite pretty. Nicely done.

I always said that the blue dress that is on so many dolls is inaccurate!
If anything it's more like silver/grey with ice blue accents.
Better yet, cracked ice fabric would be better.

I heard that it was a marketing strategy from the company. They thought that she looked too bridal because of the original white, so they decided to make it powder blue for the merchandising, giving Aurora the pink one, instead of the blue that she wore most of the movie. It is really white and grayish and silver. I don't know how people who do see the movie don't realize that! Is on the scenes with low light that it was painted blueish for the darkness/shade effect.

I adore that her dress is such a beautiful silver/grey, instead of that blue monstrosity I keep seeing around. Everything about this looks very soft, and the curl of her smile is adorable.
