Description
The final millisecond in the short life of a Yixian mayfly (Epicharmeropsis quadrivenulosus) before it is savagely cut down by the fleet-winged pterosaur Dendrorhynchoides curvidentatus. After the cuteness that was the field guide entry for this fuzzy little flier, I figured I should present both sides of the story and depict it in an act of savage insectivory.

Nice work!
they remind me of swifts. Maybe they were very fast too?

Ah but bugs are obviously gross creatures that need to be destroyed utterly by very, very, very cute pterosaurs.

very cool! I might have given the neck less definition considering the rather short neck and the extent of pycnofibers seen in Jeholopterus.

Thanks! The neck is about as ill defined as I could get it given the up-reaching posture... well, without contradicting the earlier restoration at least. It did come out a bit s-curvy at the top, probably should be more arched and chipmunk-y.

That's what these things are. damn flying chipmunks.
I just sketched anurognathid bust and in the end my version didn't come out all that much puffier than yours. Maybe a little bit but it might just be an illusion since in my version the pycnofibers stand out more.

Cute fuzzy things tend to be the most voracious predators. XD
