I probably spent a couple of weeks thinking about the idea and developing the concept with some personal sketches, I don't know how much time that was. Once I committed to it I would guess I spent 20 hours building the 3d scene in 3dsMax and setting up the lighting. After rendering I painted over all of it in photoshop for about 8 hours in one day, I'm guesing. Then over the next couple of days I tweak it here or there trying to look at it with a new eye. Really I'm making this stuff up because once I get going I loose track of time. I get lost in it and who knows, maybe I spent hours and hours more than I think I did. How long did it take can be a hard question to answer.
