Well, got to play some 4th edition d+d this weekend. My cleric survived! so i thought she deserved a more refined pencil portrait.

4ed. isn't the worst system out there, i think it IS dumbed down. Which in some senses is a good thing, but i myself like to crunch out my characters, and that generally requires a more complex system. But it's fast, fast to play, and fast to make up characters (case you happen to be prone to dying and poor decision making). One of the other players remarked how it was interesting that 10-15 years ago video games were borrowing for pen and paper games with rpg aspects and themology. Now you have 4thed, where you really get the background vibe of having a click bar in front of you and having to think ahead about the cooldowns on some of your abilities Buuuuut, good fun was had by all.
