Dragon Age is the name of the 9nth Age in Thedas because right before the end of the last, the first High Dragon in ages showed up. The previous one was Blessed Age.

I hated killing them in the game though. I was more like Iron Bull, standing there all agog while it spat fire at me. Dead in seconds, but Andraste's knickers it was awesome!
