Baumey's name is borrowed from a street in this OC's creator's real world city of residence, Wyandotte, Michigan, a Detroit suburb, close to the house in which this OC's creator was living in at the time Happy Tree Friends debuted in 1999. Baumey is, in turn a name of German origin.

Design

Baumey was going to have more whiskers, which would have been longer, but ended up with four short whiskers to further add cuteness to his appearance.
