It has been a while since I last did a 'realistic' pencil sketch... getting prepared to sit for Art A level next year, I have started with my first attempt... a study of chimp facial expressions..I used a white Staedtler pencil and A3 black paper...
I wouldn't be attending classes, as I don't have much time for that... thus I would geatly appreciate your criticism. Ideally these should have been placed in the scraps section... however as probably none of you would dare seeing my scraps I'm temporarily placing them in the drawings section so that you could criticis them.
Hope to get some technical crit!

ahh, I like white-pencils on black paper and this picture looks really nice...
the only thing I dislike is the face in the background; there must be something wrong with the eyes or the overall forehead, but still a nice drawing
(sry for my english, I think it's always hard to express what's "wrong" in a picture

i can't draw more than some doodles so can't give you "technical crit"
Can only point out the two things which look a bit off for me:
1. the left eye of the chimp on the left
2. the angle of the upper lip and mouth of the chimp at the top, it's like he (assuming it's a he!) is being given a headbutt from the chimp on his right.
but man it's amazing hehe!
i didn't know that you knew how to draw this much!!.

Portraits (whether of humans or human ancestors 
It was interested to see how you drew these. At first I thought it was normal pencils on a white paper then you inverted the colours of the scanned drawing.
Do white pencils come in different gradings too?
As a suggestion, once you start improving, try drawing a portrait of a family member or a friend, show it to someone else who knows him/her and see if he/she recognises him/her.

first of all txs for stopping by...
ye even I hated faces, but I want to become someone close to an artistic identity..probably will never be so good to hold the title of an artist ...however i'll be doing my very best to take out any skill related to art, as I really wish to become better. Thus i'm challenging myself...
the pencil i used is an ordinary white colour pencil I used when I was still in primary school..I had stored my colour pencils in a box, deep in my cupboard... and they were useful after all these years
Actually don't know if white pencils come graded... this one sure had no signs of grading...
I'll consider your suggestion regarding friends' faces... will try to do something shortly...

ooo monkeyss! i want to do o level maybe you can give me lessons lol. i think the detail is intense. i dont know if its on purpose but the only resonant thing is the most prominent monkey has one of his eyes a bit higher than the other, the expressions are all good and i like hoe you integrated all 3 seamlessly!

in fact that eye is a bit out of proportion, and a bit misplaced ye... I have to work hard on that..
