So we can pit the Blue Bomber against the Blue Blur.Also the megaman model is a pre-release, and it's feet were too hard to work with and it lacks faceposing and eyeposing. I realized a moment too late I forgot sonic's eyeposing too... >.<

Secondly I do think that Sonic is being replaced by Mega man because Mega man (technically) is one of the third party characters and if you recall they are trying to hold off on those characters. Witch means Solid Snake might be replaced by Raiden or Naked Snake. It's a process of elemonation of old gen characters and replacing them with new gen characters.
And thirdly I really would like a Sonic vs. Mega man!

1. Idk. That's just what I think. If SSB4 was made before Pokemon XY, then it'd be most likely. But anything could happen. Maybe Mewtwo (or Lucario) would return with its FS being a Mega Evolution. Or maybe Zoroark will be in as a playable character which would be cool.
2. Sonic was just confirmed. I remember what Sakurai said but things change. He was going to a story mode similar to Brawl's, but he's not going to now. There's that process and then there's fan-service and promotion.

First of all. I have observed the selection of pokemon for smash bros and the awesome pokemon have appered in a patern. If you notice back in smash bros 2 (if you've ever played it) Mewtwo was the awesome pokemon. And in smash bros 3 (aka brawl) lucario was the awesome pokemon. And if you are a hardcore pokemon fan (like me) you will have noticed that the Mewtwo movie was released about 3 years befor SSB2 and same goes for Lucarios movie. So having told that. In 2014 Zoroarks movie will be about 3 years old and Zoroark should be in the next smash bros game!
Secondly. I didn't know Sonic was confirmed!!! i gotta see that

Honestly I'm pretty sure Dark Pit is just an alternate Pit costume like last time. It wouldn't make any sense for it to be a separate character if they didn't bother doing so before, especially because unlike Sheik and Zero Suit Samus, the moveset would literally be identical...

1. He's the mascot of Namco. (Yes i know Sakurai said that Namco wont get special treatment)
2. Sakurai's reasons for including a third party also includes the fact that the third party NEEDS to be famous. (Think comparable to Mega Man/Mario/Sonic/Snake) So that shoots down any other potential namco rep.
3. Pac-Man fits the theme of Smash really well and he can be really fun. (Especially since it's become known that Pac-Man can bring a new style of combat because he can turn his body into a freaking super ball)
4. Sakurai doesn't seem to want any characters from fighting games in Smash. So Tekken is out of the picture.
5. Pac-Man is literally the only Namco rep with a chance right now.

2. Pac-Man isn't fit for a fighting game. Not only do you need to come up with a proper moveset but you also have to ensure the moveset is balanced lest we get another "Meta KnightΒ Tier" character.

Remember the last time Pac-Man was in a fighting game? He actually wasn't, it was just another character with Pac-Man slapped on top of it.
I highly doubt he's viable for any form of fighting game.
Then again neither was Captain Falcon, I mean he had to rip off Kamen Rider to make it work. Ironic how it's his punch that is the more memetic one....
