hey there !

Photoshop:
Masks and selective colour to get the skin colour.
Clone stamp to get rid of his beard.
A couple of layers with brush strokes on for the stripes and sparkles on the skin.
The stripes I used a darker coulour with size jitter, angle jitter and wet edges turned on.
The sparkles are a small white brush with scatter and size jitter.
I used "liquify" to change the shape of his face with a bit of healing brush to re-texture the skin.
I copied the ear and pasted onto another layer, used liquify again to change the shape and erased a hole in it with a little burning to give it shadow.
I changed the hue/saturation of the eyes, then used a little curves adjustment and dodge/burn to give them more life.
