Description
La couverture de ma bande dessinée "Tild, mage à Louer", aux éditions Kantik.Cover for the first volume of my comic : "Tild, Mage à Louer".
Because Red Riding Hood can't beat a werewolf by herself. Mercenaries are here for that !
The title, "Le coût du sort", means litteraly "the cost of the spell", but is quite similar to "a twist of fate".

Your comic seems really interesting. I checked out your blog but its all in French, I don't suppose there's a translated version?

Well it would be nice to have an english version, however I'm not good enough to do it myself, And it would mean that I find someone who is good enough to translate all that correcty, so i dn't know exactly where to begin ^^.

I was thinking of just asking around a forum I visit pretty often, it has a lot of members so there might be someone there who could do it for you.
I didn't want to start poking around until I was sure I had your permission. If I do find someone able and willing is there anyplace in particular you want me or the hypothetical translator to send the English pages?

That's one way to deal with a problem, although I personally doubt it will be that simple. Rather nice style, simple but detailed, rather effective out of all honesty. The characters do look quite interesting, the mercenary looks like she is enjoying the job while the werewolf seems a cross between confused and amused. Red looks different, tad Gothic with the skulls but cute due to the her expression, attire and the glasses all making her sweet.

Quick question: How did you do the blue energy ball?

I don't remember exactly but, well, it's quite simple, the sphere itself is a filled circle gradually erased in the center, and the glowing effect is done by copying the layer with the spere and the sparks, coloring them in blue, blurring them and change the layer to...well, don't remember the name in english, but you know, in photoshop, you can make each layer into multiply, hard light etc... you change test them to find which fits better (don't remember their name in english)

Maintenant les librairies ont tendance à retourner les exemplaires assez vite, alors ce sera peut-être difficile d'en trouver. On m'avait demandé de faire une bio pour une distrib canadienne, donc c'est possible, mais je ne sais pas du tout dans quelle proportion. Reste internet, là, ça se trouvera sans trop de mal.
