i did some dips and trips last year, and some of them are quite good, it's an interesting theme and i'd love another go when i've more time to work on it i.e. before my next study starts in feb

Its the first one Ive done. I did think about doing one with some trees I took 2 pics of - one west one east facing so the light is very different in each although the content is the same. Should maybe try it I guess.

georgeous. I would give you a critique, but unfortunately I don't know what the subject "diptychs" means...
Well, all in all, this is very good captured, awesome, beautiful, silent and energized at the same time...
The only thing I would be more decent with is the frame.. I'd leave out the grey spots... maybe just black - that would look more elegant, I guess...
But that doesn't change the fact that it is a very good photo.

A diptych is where two pictures (normally paintings or carving) hindged together - thats pretty much it. I have been trying to work out more and have extended that definition to include 'and may tell a story' as most seem to.
I did try a all black frame and it seemed too solid. The 'grey dots' are actually more droplets - its another simular image as the foreground but contrasted down.
