Lovely idea, I like it
When I looked it at the first time it didn't even look like sugar, I had to read the title before I realised it.
However, the spaces between the sugars could be more regular. It would add something like a symmetry.

I quite like the uneven white space but then again Im weird.
I do think its a bit uneven and I should have observed that....more training and self-restraint on checking whats in shot !
Thanx for commenting !

Nice idea. I think it would look better without the white parts between the sugar though. You could try to play around a little with different angles and so. But I think it's an interesting shot. (:

Agreed - that has been mentioned regarding the white space. I need to do a mark two. I was a little rushed on this one and was just trying to get some images - I didnt notice the cap until post production.
One thing thats pretty ok thou - FOCUS - YAY !!!
Thanx for taking the time to comment !

That's really cool! I love the texture. How did you get the sugar cubes colored?

Hey !
Thanx for commenting. Im happy with the texture too - I must have got the focus pretty spot on (very happy with that!).
To colour the cubes, bit of a nightmare, you need to very quickly dip the cube in colourant - it naturally sucks it up - FAST! I had a lot of little piles of coloured gloop if I added any or too much water to the colour mix and had to use the radiator and a hair drier to try to dry them out before they melted. Hope that helps?

Wow, what a process! That makes the picture even cooler, because I know I couldn't have the patience to do that
