Frankly,today was odd for EVERYONE at Aperture....

Because most of the people...and GLaDOS...had to go on an expedition to some rainforest.

They had arrived after a really tedious plane flight, and GLaDOS was bored out of her mind.

So she decided to go exploring.

GLaDOS slithered around the rainforest,examining nearly everything she saw. The humidity didn't bother her, and in fact, made her more energetic. She slithered up a large tree and gazed over the landscape. She could basically see everything.

Little did she know the tree was already taken.

A large python slithered down behind her while she was laying on the branch. A smirk appeared on the python's face. Everyone knew this python,for he was famous because of a movie. He was Kaa, possibly THE MOST famous python known to mankind. All he saw GLaDOS as was a potential snack. He swiftly and quietly wrapped her up,somehow not noticing her own snake tail. She suddenly noticed and began to struggle.

And of course Kaa...being Kaa....tried his signature hypnosis....

Only to find that for some odd reason it didn't work.

"WHAT?!" Kaa yelled,shocked that it didn't work at all,even though his 'prey' was focused on him with a death glare. "How are you unaffected?"

Kaa had never faced mechanized prey before. He noticed that only after he had asked her.

"Nevermind..."

She hissed out of anger and grabbed him by the neck,slamming him to the branch and dazing him. It was only then that he realized she was basically a snake too.

Judging by the look in her eye,this wouldn't end well for him.

"Hey,hey now! No need to be violent!" he spoke,trying to calm her down. Luckily,she did calm down before doing anything to maul the poor snake. She let him up and coiled up on her own part of the tree,flicking her tongue.

"Alright...fine...who are you?"

'Oh,missss...I ssshould've introduced myssself...I am Kaa....and you?'

"...GLaDOSsss"

'Nice to meet you'

The two stared at each other for a moment,making an awkward silence.

'....Ssso...favorite food?'

Kaa managed to spark a conversation between the two that lasted a while. Before they knew it,the sun was setting. Kaa gave his farewell and GLaDOS slithered down the tree, having made a new friend. She went to him every day to learn more on the rainforest she was in, and to tell Kaa about her life,which he had trouble comprehending in some parts. The two became rather good friends and were going to miss each other when she left...but they could still stay in contact. After all,Kaa had coughed up a phone that he 'somehow' ate.

On that day, GLaDOS had gained a new friend. Turns out the trip to the rainforest wasn't that boring after all.
