I'm introducing one of the coolest characters in Descending: Eclipse.

He's originally a runt/omega wolf born to a alpha pair in one of the Eurasian packs (Turkey). Pressure from his father and over proctection from his mother forced him to leave the pack and join a rogue pack. He was very small, unattractive, and fragile both emotionally and physically. He had no special capabilities. When he joined the rogue pack he changed his character. He grew as he aged, became bold, and competitive smart, got the others of rogue pack to respect him as their leader. He considered them like a family but he rejected any she-wolf. While hunting one day with the rogue pack they came. He woke up in a lab with many other wolves from different parts of the globe. A female scientist selected him, experimented on him, mutated him into a cyborg-wolf, and he became the Leader of all the cyborg-wolves.

Eclipse is now about the size of a small Volkswagen at the top of his head. He's part machine and part organic material. He's called Eclipse because of his scar on his left eye, which is shaped like an almost fully eclipsed moon.
There are many ways to say his name: Finsternis, Verblassen, Eklipse, etc.

In Descending you'll see how important his role is. Enjoy.
