Description Now this is a first timer for me.

- This picture features colour as a primary expressing point.
- It was painted with oil colours on a canvas (hugely expensive colours that is, the turquoise in real life was simply astonishing)

Why did I do that? I was inspired by these two people. For once my dear sister cheetah106.deviantart.com/gall… who has been captivating me her entire life with her marvelous painting I always envied so much. They were usually made in one go, with so many vivid colours, personality and with these strange exotic tools I never dared to use.

Normally when I am being creative I am doing it in a mechanical, strict manner with a heavy emphasize on craftmanship. I use hammer and nails, electric saws and drills for my cosplay stuff. When I draw, I do not use colours, but I do use all sorts of rulers and pencils sharpened to the point of being harmfull to the paper I am using. My sister however is doing it in a more lively way, treating her works like sensitive plants which need to be raised.
I also know this highly talented girl (who sadly has no deviantart account) with her incomparable obsession to the colour turquoise. Being a huge fan of everything in and under the water, this special colour choice caught on to me, Whenever I look at it, it reminds me of the beauty beneath the sea. You can say, that in a way she reminded me of the colors I have almost lost in my life.

As a gift for christmas I tried to track down some plants for her in a turquoise colour, quickly realising what a stupid idea that would be. There is no such thing as a tree with blue leaves. Ashamed of having forgotten basic teachings of biology in high school (photosynthesis) I decided to give her some seeds for different trees and all the tools to plant them. However the idea of a tree with turquoise leaves never really left my head, absorbing my thoughts and fantasy.

And there I was, sitting all the night in my flat in front of a canvas, using tools I have never used before, using colours I never would have dreamed of trying, completing my very first oil painting. It basically painted itself, while I was nothing more than a mere observer of the painting being shaped by some mysterious force, guiding me. I loved every minute of it and so, this humble little piece will always hold a special heart in my place. It will never win any attention, prizes or awards, but doing it was like taking a deep breath in a green park, after walking through an asphalt burnt city for miles.

I hope it brings you as much joy as it has brought me.
