New Zealand has so much rare species that can't be found elsewhere it's so fascinating *_* ( though that's sad lots of them are threatened >< )
You're welcome anyway

Well done on such a beautiful shot! Β Knowing the nature of the kea though it would have probably have tried to dismantle your camera straight after this shot. Β I hope your camera and your car survived this encounter!

Since I live in the US and not New Zealand, I was never chased by a parrot (maybe a dog or swan, but little else). Β I can understand they can be territorial, however... my parrot is very fond of biting me when I reach into his cage even if I'm just trying to feed him. XDDD

I haven't been either hahah I would imagine it would be pretty terrifying as a kid though! They are pretty big birds, and not shy at all!

Yeah, I'd imagine keas would amount to the same size as regular macaws, whereas a quakers' height is more similar to that of a robin. XDD

Yeah they can grow up to like 45cm (a foot and a half ) tall I think which is pretty big for a NZ bird

Nice shot! Beautiful how you can see all the details of the feathers and how the attention is fixed only at the bird by bluring the background.
