Is it just me or does the whole bay just look like a giant pile of trash? I don't understand why people want to live in such congested lifestyles. I love the photo by the way.

I think you're seeing 2 things that make it look that way - the little wave of SF Bay. The water is very choppy, and the other thing is the beach on the far shore.
That hill in the distance is Telegraph Hill, and of those houses are incredibly expensive. Don't get me started on how hard it is to park there.
Oh, and if you have Netflix you should rent a movie called "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill." It's about the parrots that live in the neighborhood. I have pictures of some of them somewhere on my computer. . .
