Description

There isn't much lore for this map, nothing specific anyway. Essentially the German Ostsiedlung never happens, and so the Slavs and Magyars are able to unify and expand. Austrian Hapsburgs don't rise to power either, and instead the Hungarian Kingdom grows and expands, assimilating and repopulating surrounding peoples and lands. The Ottomans do invade Europe, however their reign is brief and their legacy is small, hence the lack of Muslims. The Protestant reformation sweeps through Northern Germany and Poland, but areas around Hungary remain firmly Catholic, as the Hungarian Crown becomes the bastion for Catholicism in Central Europe. Albanians are assimilated into a broader Illyrian culture and language.
