Nine years after the collapse of the National Russian People's State

Russia turns into an ultra-nationalist dictatorship in the interwar period after the failure of Lenin's revolution. They come out of the Second World War heavily damaged but victorious nonetheless, spreading their influence across the globe and carving out a bloc of puppet states and tributaries around them. Russification and forced migration is much more extreme, leading to drastic population and demographic changes in the 1940s and 50s, changes that forever alter the map of Russia. The political system is also completely overhauled, leading to a much more simple and integrated government when the National State collapses. Despite many years of brutal totalitarianism and the brutal oppression of minorities, the new Russian Republic is a successful democracy that is slowly attempting to make amends with those it has wronged and conquer its dark past.
