Description
SO after a week or so of debate, it was decided that we didnt like certain aspects on the various versions of a certain stubborn (diva) of a prosecutor, so here is his latest and hopefully final version! MILES EDGEWORTH *fanfare*He is in the process of being colored and then you get to see him in all his .. bitterness up on our website , woo!

Speaking of von Karma, my favorite part was when you guys did the Justice for All (reprise) live. Manfred's line always cracked me up (What... no... the music isn't playing). And Diana and Matt's lines, (What luck, there's a french fry stuck in my beard).

haha yeah we had a bunch of parodies of those songs really early on, and in one version we had that fry line in it, oh man, I wish we didnt all live soo faaar awaaayyyyy. But c'est la vie, I suppose, oh well.

I agree, I like this one better. His head was too big in the last version. My only criticism is that his feet are a little big. But other than that, this one looks great!

Well our designs in general ARE short, they are only about 5 heads tall, if you know what I mean when I say that. Our Edgeworth design, relative to other characters, actually makes him about 6' tall, he's taller than Nick or Larry (but Larry's hair is another 6' practically). Gumshoe, relatively, is about 6'5", so even though Edgeworth is tall, he's still towered over by Gumshoe, who is a tank.
but, yes, it is a stocky design that we utilize for our characters in general. Not like American comic style, closer in proportion to Anime heights, but closer to Disney in forms? but less scrawny, real people arent scrawny like that, so their animated versions shouldn't be either........ err, I mean Edgeworth is not heavier than Nick (and no Larry's not the lightest guy ever) and no I never once thought about any of this stuff and no I will not blather on ANY LONGER

Yeah, but for some reason, in the video games, Phoenix and Edgeworth are built (despite dedicating their lives to art/law), Maya has a metabolism approximately set to Goku and Yui Hirasawa's love child, Mia and April somehow don't seem have back problems, and Grossberg can support his own weight. That's always baffled me. XD

I actually disagree with your assessment. I actually think Nick is regularly built. Not too skinny (like Larry) but not fuller of frame either. Yeah he's kinda a slouch and a couch potato, but he's also kinda poor, plus according to official art he rides his bike to court, so I see him as being in a slightly more-skinny but not necessarily healthy or buff kind of way. So he's not built, not overtly muscular but he can ride his bike several miles a day (OH MAN THERE IS A BAD PUN IN THERE) and not be out of breath, and then lounge the rest of his day away on the couch. Pretty much just average joe.
Miles isnt either, excepting in ONE specific official art, which was to launch AAI (and subsequent AAI pictures where he is slimmer-than-skinny, which is quite unlike his AA:trilogy physique where he is broader) Miles is actually more, not 'rounded' but less skinny and not really built. He also wears many layers so it adds to his overall appearance. I see him being a workaholic and not really dedicating much time to his physique other than maybe making a conscious habit of eating healthy foods and such (something I would imagine would have been vouchsafed from von Karma). I base this on his personality and in-game references to his activities: IE He's not the outdoorsy type like Emma see's him, you can tell by Nicks reaction/words (and Miles' general presence) that Miles is more just a sit-at-home and read kinda guy.
as for Maya.. well.. I can kinda attest to her eating style .__. I can eat a lot and am never gunna gain wheight and its BAD cause i am underweight
Mia and April and Lana and all them other hussies.. yeah IDEK. They're still young, I guess?
And hey man, we live in America, Grossbergs are everywhere. They arent the fastest, but they seem to do fine. .__.

I suppose I can agree on the Maya thing as well. I barely gained anything during my SUPER HUNGER one of my medications I was on for a while put me under.

The in game sprites just show them in thick clothes/many layers, you can tell by their arms that they arent really muscular XD, or maybe that's just me? XD I mean yeah when Nick puffs up his chest it's pretty defined - that would be the case for anyone in that pose~

Really? But their shoulders are like... HUGELY broad, and even Nick in a sweatshirt looks pretty buff. Butz is thin, as anyone can see from his sprites, but Edgeworth is all MAH-CHO MAY-UN.

well I see the broad shoulders as build or.. shoulder pads, some suits have them, and depending on how the suit is constructed it can cause a visual appearance of that of a broader or more shapely build. Macho-y-ness, I guess. Larry just wears a teeshirt and a pleather jacket he got from Target, not a finely tailored suit of decent to high-quality (Nick to Miles) material. As for the sweatshirt, I assume you mean Hobo!Nick? That I can attribute to.. He got pissed, he got buff. Besides, we dont know what OTHER odd-jobs he does to pay the rent, I can totally see him working in something with heavy lifting XD he's in a freaking exercise outfit/sweats, after all!

Actually, I refer to Sick!Nick, where he's wearing the P sweatshirt and scarf. I suppose the suit could attribute some "buffness", but... I highly doubt it could add THAT much (otherwise, I'd suit up every day).

He does, maybe, look a little tall, but we can keep that in mind when we animate and adjust accordingly. I feel like the body is probably easier to draw anyway, since we need to keep so much detail in mind in the face. His face is always going to take long, but the body is easily adapted. Or so I feel...?

Yeah I couldn't tell, the hands esa draws arent really in a style I am used to, so I changed the hand a few times, but I think over all its alright, and Pleads gave it the "ok for coloring" wave, so WOOOO
I think Shawni is coloring it, or Usei. Shawni told me she would over Skype, but I think Usei wanted to do it and she wasnt online when I was so I never got to tell her >->;
