How can you be so sure that is really Chara? From what I see by comparing the Genocidal and Pacifist. The Genocidal Chara we see, is but a shadow of his formal self, very much a human flowey.

Well this probably is just a shadow of Chara's former self but Chara was pretty evil to begin with.
Laughing when Asgore became ill after eating the buttercups in the pie, Chara literally has a dagger in their room and Chara was the one who wanted to destroy all the humans.
So I wouldn't really call Chara innocent.

While I do respect your opinion, I do have some counter arguments in Chara's defense.
1. Laughing at Asgore becoming ill. Let me ask you this: What does it mean to laugh something off? Have you ever been in a situation where you or a friend escaped some form of minor -serious injury and laughed? it is common for humans to laugh at normal or potential suffering, not because of a sadistic enjoyment, but a way to relive stress.
2. A dagger in his room, is quite possibly a sign of self inflicting pain, and depression.
3. Another, and quite frankly stronger case of depression. We learn that Chara climbed the mountain because of reasons that "weren't very happy." This can raise further questions. Was Chara abused by his parents in the village? Was he sick and tired of seeing humans and disgusted by their actions (be honest, we humans in the real world are pretty disgusting people) I believe the Original Chara was in serious, emotional pain. When he lived with the monsters, you do not hear one bad word about Chara. Why? Because he was very much happy living with his monster family.
Sure he was naive, especially on how to deal with humanity and the barrier, but calling him evil is a very strong, unfair and harsh word.

I don't think that's what Toby was going for when he made the game, but in a normal scenario I think your explanation would be a lot more valid.
Also I have seen a comic where Chara parents were murdered by some criminals, plus according to what goes on in the world these days there are no end to reasons Chara would feel this way about humanity...

People have a strong tendency to expand the original idea of what the character is, and theories about the character in a more plausible light.
Also, what you said about the comic and what goes on in the world today only proves my point more.
